Vince Fandel announces his retirement; Region 10 seeks new SBDC Director
On March 10th, Vince Fandel, Region 10’s Small Business Resource Center Director, officially announced his plan to retire from the organization. Fandel helped expand many small business programs during his tenure, including creating new loan opportunities, recruiting business consultants, and developing business classes–all to the benefit of local small businesses in the Region 10 area. The staff and board of Region 10 would like to thank him for his years of service and wishes him the best of luck in his new adventures.

Small Business Resource Center DIRECTOR
Region 10 is seeking an experienced, innovative, business-oriented individual to serve as the Director of the Small Business Resource Center. The position is responsible for oversight of small business assistance programs including managing funding and programs of Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Small Business Administration (SBA), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and other programs, as well as relationship and partnerships with banks and economic development organizations to identify new small business opportunities to help build the region’s economy. The position will also work with the Region 10 Business Loan Fund to evaluate potential business borrowers and recommend qualified applicants to the Region 10 Business Loan program. A BS/BA in finance, business administration or related field is preferred, however, relevant experience will be considered, with business lending experience desirable.
