With support from USDA Rural Business Development Grant, over the next year Region 10 will provide training and technical assistance to rural communities and rural small businesses so that small businesses will find it easier to start, grow and relocate to rural communities thus creating more vibrant rural economies. Region 10 will create a list regional business assets and models for community actions and activities to create a “small business friendly town” and will support small business development and expansion. Region 10 will also partner with entrepreneurial initiatives in the region to support business competition and boot-camp activities that provide business and leadership training for rural start-ups and local expanding small businesses.
