| The State of Colorado provides financial grants to low-income aged,
blind and disabled persons to assist them in meeting basic living
costs and to pay for funeral and burial costs. Call for a program

| Colorado Food Stamp Program |
| The Colorado Food Stamp Program provides assistance to low-income
individuals and families of any age who need help with purchasing
food. Applications are taken at the county departments of social
services. The county worker will interview applicants and determine
the household eligibility for benefits. If eligible, the applicant
will be provided with a Quest card that can be used to purchase groceries
at any participating grocery store or other retailer. County Social

| Commodity Supplemental Food Program |
| Another food assistance program for which individuals over the
age of 60 may be eligible is the Commodity Supplemental Food Program.
In Region 10, eligibility is determined at the Mexican American Development
Association (MADA) office in Montrose. Persons in any of Region 10’s
counties may apply here. If determined eligible, participants receive
a monthly food package that contains various food products such as
canned fruit and vegetables, dry goods, cereal, juice, dried beans
or peanut butter, evaporated and non-fat dried milk and cheese. Please

appointment for eligibility determination. |
