Marketing Grants

Region 10 has been awarded annual grants for several years by the Colorado Economic Development Commission (CEDC) to help support projects that promote economic development within the Region 10 Enterprise Zones (EZ).

Previous grants have been used to assist with projects such as 4th of July events, Children's Museum brochures, art festivals, tourism guides, Main in Motion, local market promotion, music festivals, cooking events and rail tours.

 Project Requirements

The application includes a concise, one page project descrtiption which should demonstrate that the funds will be used to:

  • promote the advantages of locating a business in the EZ,
  • help establish a positive identity for the EZ,
  • encourage retention and expansion of existing businesses,
  • promote redevelopment,
  • expand the Region's tourism industry,
  • attract new business,
  • generally enhance the economic growth of the EZ.
 Details
  • Grant awards range from $500 to $2,000 for selected projects.
  • All projects must have a dollar-for-dollar cash match from another source.
  • Amount of grant funds awarded depends on the number of applications received, and on whether a previous grant has been awarded to the applicant.
  • Once a grant has been awarded, Region 10 will request grant funds from the state only after the project is completed and suitable invoices, account statements and match monies have been submitted to Region 10.
  • Any media created for marketing projects must include a statement acknowledging the support of Colorado Enterpise Zone Marketing Grant funds, as well as the Region 10 logo.
  • All applicants must carry state required liability, vehicle, and if appropriate, workers compensation insurance.

 Application Due Dates
  • Proposals accepted between November 1 and 30 for projects that begin after January 1
  • Qualifying complete applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
